Greenhouse Production – 9018

Grade Level: 10, 11, 12 Credit: 1 Type: Practical Art

You will grow and care for various plants in the greenhouse setting, including succulents, tropicals, foliage plants, edibles, annuals, and perennials. Maintain parts of a greenhouse, explore how they work, and perform general maintenance. This course includes plant identification, care, maintenance, processes, environmental controls, propagation, sales and marketing. The course will also cover aquaculture and hydroponics. This course is an excellent opportunity to take many plants home! Every student will have an opportunity to advance personal and professional skills through participation in FFA.
