The GIS/Geospatial Tech is a core tool of the 21st Century and impacts everything including directions in an unfamiliar city, disaster management and tracking the spread of disease—just to name a few. This course teaches computer-based mapping and spatial analysis techniques with hands-on, project-based instruction using industry-standard GIS software platforms. State-of-the-art computer-enhanced information systems, satellite imagery, and global positioning systems are used to solve real-world problems. The program uses the highest level of ESRI software, so the student uses “place” to identify and solve problems.

The Opportunities to use data and observe spatially-related components to analyze, explore issues, problem solve, and evaluate solutions no matter the “place”. The future of our planet depends on this high-growth industry and needs trained professionals now.
