Welcome to the world of professional cooking! This introductory-level course will teach you the basics of working in a professional kitchen. We will explore sanitation, knife cuts, vegetables, starches, various cooking methods, eggs and breakfast cookery. Classes are set in a professional kitchen where students are required to dress out daily, participate in mandatory cleaning tasks, and where workplace readiness skills are emphasized daily. Every student will have an opportunity to advance personal and professional skills through participation in SkillsUSA.

Enrollment Note: Course enrollment will begin with the 9th, followed by the 10th and 11th grades, respectively.
