CONSTRUCTION IMMERSION PROGRAM
Columbia Public Schools Columbia Area Career Center and Emery Sapp & Sons are proud to offer a new opportunity for high school students—the Construction Immersion Program. The program will consist of a four-week mini-course introducing you to the construction industry. The program will provide students with 33 hours of hands-on, high-tech experience.

Safety
10-hour OSHA certification
Terminology
Heavy Equipment Operation
Plus, more!
Students will be considered for an internship or full-time employment with ESS upon successful completion.

WHERE
Classes will take place at Columbia Area Career Center.
The course will include field trips to local job sites. All necessary transportation will be provided.
WHEN
Exact Dates TBD – Coming Soon Spring 2022
Classes will take place 2 days a week, from 7-8:30 a.m. This includes weekly job site visits or lab time which will alternate each week.
SAFETY
All students will be provided with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including a hi-visibility vest, hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, and ear protection.
Instructors will actively include safety training and education throughout the course during classroom discussion, lab time and job site visits.
