You will take full ownership of the CPS 360 news show. Producing, writing, editing, directing and anchoring are a large part of this course. Notable projects include video franchise, radio show, live shots, live talk show hosting and interviewing. You will serve as the production crew for live sports streaming, including play-by-play announcing, camera operating and directing. This class is deadline-oriented and requires dedication to working as part of a news team. Filming sports features and other school highlights in the evenings and weekends are a requirement. You will have the opportunity to attend the National Student Television Network Convention to compete against other high school news teams. Every student will have an opportunity to advance personal and professional skills through participation in SkillsUSA.
