Craig Adams

 

Craig Adams has been a Technology Teacher at Jefferson Jr. High School for the past 20 years. He teaches Space and Aeronautics , Engineering and Intro to Architecture. Robotics has been a major emphasis in all of his courses. He has been married to his wife Susan for 23 years, and together they have 3 great kids: Jacob, Taylor and Whitney. All three of them attend the University of Missouri/Columbia. One of his favorite hobbies is, as you can see by the picture, fishing.

George Caskey has over 20 years experience painting still life acrylics. If you have ever dreamed of painting a beautiful sunset or clouds that look as soft as marshmallows's, this is the man to help you do it. A welding instructor at the Columbia Area Career Center, George also shares his artistic talents teaching Iron Art Sculpture in his regular classes.

Jeff Copeland is a world-traveling, first-class entertainer. His passion is sleight of hand magic and sharing the joy it brings with everyone he encounters. Creating illusions was a childhood hobby that stirred creativity and stretched his imagination growing up. Now, with a few years added to his young life, Jeff has used his talent to perform across the Nation and South America for family and church shows as well as corporations such as Exxon-Mobil, Guidestone Financial Group, Highland and Ryland Homebuilders, and many other top professionals in his home town of Houston, TX. Marta Ferguson

Marta Ferguson

 

Marta Ferguson's work has appeared in many literary magazines over the last few years, including 5AM, Rattle, Pearl, Prairie Schooner and Puerto Del Sol. Poems are available online at The Cortland Review (#28), No Tell Motel and Lily. She's had a reprint at Poetry Daily and has twice been nominated for Pushcart prizes. In the fall of 2005, her first collection, Mustang Sally Pays Her Debt to Wilson Pickett, was published by Main Street Rag. She holds a Ph.D. in English from the University of Missouri-Columbia and is a former poetry editor of The Missouri Review. Marta has been the sole proprietor of Wordhound Writing & Editing Services, LLC, for six years.

Kasey Higgins has 10 years of experience working as a freelance caterer and personal chef. When she was 19, Higgins started baking pies and cakes for friends and family members as a hobby, and it quickly turned into a part-time career. In 2006, she was hired as executive chef at the Hilton Garden Inn in Columbia. After leaving there she expanded her catering business. January of 2009 brought a new venture as she launched her business, The Chef Connection, where she sells her gourmet products thru local retailers.

David Hopkins holds an Education Specialist Degrees in Educational Technology from the University of Missouri-Columbia. He teaches Computer Science at North Callaway High School in Kingdom City and computer technician courses at the Columbia Career Center. His classes include Technology Problem Solving, AP Computer Science, Web Design, and Video Game Design.

For over two decades, he has had a steadfast love of devices that meet the needs of both imagination and mundanity. Molix has years of direct experience in the field of information technology consulting and repair. Broadening this knowledge base is his history in the communicative arts and decades of experience using and maintaining a wide variety of computer systems.

Sheryl Orscheln graduated from the University of Kansas (yes, a Jayhawk) with a Bachelor of Art Education K-12 degree. She received her Master of Curriculum and Instruction in Art Education from the University of Missouri (yes, she's a Tiger too). Sheryl currently teaches art at North Callaway R-1 High School in Kingdom City, Missouri. Her special loves are watercolor painting and working with pastels. Sheryl has presented workshops at the Missouri Art Education Associatiion conference and loves teachingpeople to enjoy the world through the eyes of an artist.

Patrick Sasser earned a bachelor's degree in Interactive Digital Media with an emphasis in New Media from Northwest Missouri State University. He worked at Shelter Insurance as a Java Programmer and teaches in the Career Center Adult Education department. Mr. Sasser also freelances heavily in the web design industry in the Mid Missouri area. He is a freelance programmer and designer for Woodruff Sweitzer, an advertising agency in Columbia.
