Earn one science or practical art credit in this college preparatory course while learning techniques and applying technologies used in medical, pharmaceutical and analytical laboratories. You will learn lab skills including microscopy, microbiology, blood and tissue identification, wet chemistry, spectrophotometry, pH and titrations. You will also look at societal issues related to health information, pharmaceutical research and productions. Skills taught are essential for students interested in a science-related career and will equip students for high school and postsecondary laboratory coursework.
