Foundations of Teaching and Instruction - 9216

This course will provide students with an overview of the historical, philosophical, developmental and psychological foundations of American education. Students will relate the application of psychological principles to teaching, learning, assessment and the educational practices in K-12 classrooms. Students will participate in grades preK-9 field experience, as well as develop a professional portfolio. College dual credit and articulated college credit may be available.
