Construction and Contracting 1 - 9501

Grade: 10, 11, 12 — Credits: 2

In this course, students will cover the basic concepts of the residential construction industry. The course also follows the National Center for Construction Education & Research curriculum and includes 33 major units of study taught over two years in Construction and Contracting 1 and 2. Construction and Contracting 1 students will study rough-in plumbing, electrical, drywall and interior finishes. Approved work shoes and clothes are a requirement. Every student will have an opportunity to advance personal and professional skills through participation in SkillsUSA. Articulated college credit may be available.
