Construction and Contracting 1 - 9501

Grade: 10, 11, 12 — Credits: 2

In this course, students will cover the basic concepts of the residential construction industry. The course also follows the National Center for Construction Education & Research curriculum and includes 33 major units of study taught over two years in Construction and Contracting 1 and 2. Construction and Contracting 1 students will study rough-in plumbing, electrical, drywall and interior finishes. Approved work shoes and clothes are required.  Every student will have an opportunity to advance personal and professional skills through participation in SkillsUSA. Articulated college credit may be available.
