Advanced Welding and Project Fabrication - 9042

Grade: 11, 12 — Credits: 2

Advanced Welding and Project Fabrication allows students to further enhance ARC and MIG skills. Students will design and construct major metal projects, such as trailers. The fabrication part of the course will start out with group projects to familiarize students with the “real world” setting. Students will be required to design and draw plans before construction of projects begins. Because safety is a shop priority, students will be required to wear clothing and shoes used in industry. Welding helmets, gloves and safety glasses will be issued at the beginning of the school year. Students will be exposed to the benefits of the Columbia FFA.
