Unlicensed Assistive Personnel Program (UAP)

The Unlicensed Assistive Personnel Program meets the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services initial training requirement for those working as nursing assistants in hospitals. This program takes approximately 9 weeks to complete and provides 88 hours of training. Training is provided through a combination of face-to-face and on-line instruction and testing. The session starts with a face-to-face six (6) hour orientation and four additional face-to-face testing sessions will occur over the training period. The cost per participant is $400. It is suggested students be employed with a hospital that has contracted with The Career Center to complete this training.
